2021 Blue Rock “Baby Blue” Sonoma, County, CA – This is primarily a Cabernet Sauvignon 85% blend, but all five noble grapes are used to produce this fruit-forward savory wine that might rival a young Bordeaux blend. This wine is dark purple wine in color and gets your attention on the pour. It is rich on the palate with dark berry fruit, black pepper, savory notes, and balanced acidity. Tannins are present and will continue to integrate as this is a young wine. $36.00
2023 G.D.Vajra “Clarè J.C.” Langhe Nebbiolo, Piedmont, Italy – Profoundly complex notes of crushed blackberries, violets, spiced orange peels and sage makes the Clarè J.C. a total knockout on the nose. Silky and enveloping with a pretty inner ripeness up front, this impresses further as a wave of wild berry fruit and exotic spice slowly saturates the palate.
