2023 Troon Vineyards Druid’s Red, Applegate Valley, Oregon – Druid’s Red is composed of 30% Syrah, 27% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 19% Mourvèdre, and 4% Carignan. This full-flavored wine stacks red and blue plums, elderberries, tart cherries, and blood orange highlights in a broad, balanced, lightly savory palate. I am certain that as this vineyard matures, the flavors will deepen and add more aromatic detail. $25/bottle
2023 Gundlach Bundschu Mountain Cuvee, Sonoma Valley, CA – Mountain Cuvee presents as a love letter to Bordeaux grapes, and it comprises 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 4% Cab Franc, 2% Malbec, and 3% Petit Verdot. It is a medium-bodied red blend with complex and distinct layers of red fruit and cedar. Star anise, cinnamon stick, and oregano oil on the nose give way to notes of unsweetened chilled cherry galette, raspberry preserve, and woodsy boysenberry. $25/bottle

2018 Mosavali Saperavi Sanadimo, Kakheti, Republic of Georgia – The vineyard is in the region of Dedoplistskaro, in the village of Kvemo Kedi, at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level. The vineyard is hand-operated, and the grapes are harvested by hand. Characterized by notes of rich black cherry fruit, the wine is dense and rustic with a lingering, savory finish. Pair with roasted or grilled red meat and/or aged cheese. $24/bottle
2024 Villa Creek Farmhouse White, Paso Robles, CA – This fresh white is a blend of organically grown 62% Picpoul Blanc, 19% Falanghina, and 19% Pinot Gris. Aromatics – Fresh rain on a spring day, yellow ¬ flowers, toasted sun¬ flower seed, pear, fennel, white peach, and sweet cream. Palate Impression – Supple and round, with bright, tangy acidity and a long, clean finish that ends with a hint of lemon rind.
